Pursuit for Sheldon resident ends in corn field

Warrants have been issued following a vehicle pursuit Thursday afternoon with Vernon County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher says 23-year-old Landon G Wilson, 23, of Sheldon, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon when Wilson fled after a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of 1800 Rd. and Noah Road. Mosher says the vehicle drove into a corn field near Stockade Rd and 2300 Rd where Wilson attempted to flee but was found in the area a short time later.

Mosher said a passenger was in the vehicle but no charges have been filed pending the completion of the investigation.

Wilson has been charged with driving while revoked and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $5,000 cash only.
