Connie Locke and Jewell and Helen Ellerman took Martha Radspinner of Laquey to Butler Wednesday, Sept. 25, to visit Claude Hall at the Medicalodge. Jewell and Helen visited Grace Smith for a little while and then Connie picked them up and, along with Grace, they ate at the Senior Center in Butler. Martha was here visiting her daughter, Judy Ross, and other relatives and friends at El Dorado Springs and other areas. Martha and Claude lived in Harwood at one time. On the way back from Butler the came through Harwood and Martha got to visit Karen at the post office.
The Schell City/Harwood United Methodist Woman will hold their rummage and bake sale Friday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The baked sale is Friday only. Most items are 25¢ except for the things marked and the baked goods. It will be held in the Schell City Untied Methodist Church basement on the south side of the church.
Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Sept. 30, were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman, John and Frances Lewis, Verla Murrell and Cyndee Miller.
Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 30. Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon “Why Engelism” was taken from Romans 1:15-32.
Church service was held at the Schell City Untied Methodist Church Sunday, Sept. 30. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon “Salted By The Fire” was taken from James 5:13-20 and Mark 9:38-50. Happy birthday was sung to Jewell Ellerman. Sunday School was held before church. Pastor Locke led the lesson “Faith Requires Mutual Love” taken from Hebrew 13:1-3 and I Corinthians 13.
