The El Dorado Springs boys basketball team traveled to Sherwood Tuesday to begin their season and left with an 87-72 loss.

The Sherwood Marksmen jumped out to an early 26-10 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Bulldogs trailed 49-32 at the half.

Shelby McKinney led the Bulldogs with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Derek Hayes had 14 points and Kaiden Simmons had 10 points.

The Bulldogs travel to Warsaw this week for the Warsaw Tournament. El Dorado is the six seed and will play the third seed Butler Bears on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
