The Cedar and Vernon County Genealogy Society will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Church of Christ in El Dorado Springs.
The program will be by Linda Snodgrass who does wagon-wheel weaving. She says it’s a technique derived from the pioneers as they were traveling west. The wagons were so small they were unable to take large items such as a loom with them. When they got to their destination, they used the iron wheel as a weaving frame.
Possibly some of your ancestors did the same thing.
The public is invited to attend.
