Oscar R. Clark, 69, Stockton, passed away in his sleep on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, from a long battle with lymphoma.
Oscar was born in Stockton on Dec. 4, 1942, to George and Ella (Martin) Clark. Oscar was a member of the Stockton Christian Church, a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
Oscar was a life long agrarian who enjoyed raising cattle. He was the owner and operator of a farming operation. As the owner of a construction company, Clark Construction, he built many houses, barns and businesses locally.
Oscar also traveled with his wife, Rosemary, while working as a superintendent for several construction companies to oversee the successful completion of many retail tenant construction projects.
Until his diagnosis in the early 2000’s, Oscar enjoyed fishing with friends and family.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Lyda Rogers and Minnie Mae Langford. Oscar is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosemary (Tolle) Clark; by their three children – Richard Clark, Barbara Reed and Julie Henry; four grandchildren – Eric Wishon, Jacob Wishon, Elliott Henry and Julieanne Henry; two brothers, Martin Clark and Robert Clark; and three sisters – Nancy Cully, Donna Burns and Judy Oberly and families.
Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 9, in the Stockton Christian Church under the care of Brumback Funeral Home.
