Approved Commission Minutes for March 11, 2019.

Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor

Requests to process court order 24391-24419, to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor

Discussed an email concerning CR3125.

Discussed grading roads and potholes better.

Discussed maintenance on CR800, CR1500, and CR425. 

Met with James McCrary, Sheriff

Weekly Report of Inmate Housing – Out of County – 52, Cedar – 6 = 58

Went over how training went last week.

Discussed leaks in jail that have been happening with all the rain last week. Presiding Commissioner Marlon Collins wants to contact Hostetler’s about concrete & fixing upstairs in Recorder’s Office for reroofing and repairing. Also settling of foundation issues were discussed of jail.

Discussed Sheriff’s boarding rates for inmates. Sheriff wants to raise rates soon.

Met with Peggy Kenney, Treasurer

Submitted invoices for review.

Lonnie Swaggerty stopped by to report CR1151 and end of CR900.  Sign is missing and needs replaced at end of CR900.

Met with Nora Powell, Coroner

Discussed indigent funeral expenses.

Janet Johnson stopped by to report CR752 needing maintenance.

George Ainley stopped by to discuss a road off of Hwy Z, (Independence School House Rd). Commissioners explained how it needed to be brought up to standards before they can agree or accept it as a road.  Commissioners also explained how he would have to discuss this with Independence Special Road District.

Robert Keeton stopped by for a visit.

Priscilla Claren stopped by to report roads around 1975 Rd and a bad hole near St. Clair County line.

Commission reviewed payment requests submitted to the Treasurer for discretionary funds by elected officials.

Bills were approved.
