Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor

Requests to process court order 24420-24442, to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor

Discussed CR601, CR1151, CR1225, CR1275, CR1975, and Pace Town.

Discussed personnel issues.

Discussed assisting Barton County on Friday.

Discussed FEMA site inspections scheduled for 03/26/19.

Discussed Bear Creek Bridge is repaired, other bridge will be repaired shortly.

Discussed four 10 hour days.

Met with James McCrary, Sheriff

Weekly Report of Inmate Housing – Out of County – 52, Cedar – 6 = 63

Meeting on April 9th, 9:00 a.m. at the CMH clinic with Stacy Rogers concerning medical expenses.

Met with Peggy Kenney, Treasurer

Submitted invoices for review.

Lynn Janes reported CR501, north of CR800, needing a crown.

Jason from Great River Engineering

Discussed Bear Creek Bridge as priority over other BRO projects.  Jason will draft a letter to MODOT.

Met with Tammie Papenfuhs

Commission agreed to retain Tammie Papenfuhs for mowing. 

Motion to donate one of the plaques off the old Bear Creek Bridge after demolition to the Cedar County Historical Society.  Motion made by Boultinghouse, seconded by Foster.  Collins – Yes, Boultinghouse – Yes, Foster – Yes.

Commission request County Clerk to check into carpeting commission and county clerk office’s.

Commission reviewed monthly reports submitted by Cedar County Sheriff’s Office.

Met with Bob Hostetler with Hostetler Roofing – Recommends Conklin Spray Polyurethane is better than putting a membrane on.  No less than 1” coverage of spray.  Recommends checking the roof every 3-5 years for general maintenance and review.  Gives a personal 10 year guarantee.  The service is recommended.

Commission reviewed payment requests submitted to the Treasurer for discretionary funds by elected officials.

Bills and payroll were approved.

The Cedar County Commission met April 1, 2019. Present were: Marlon Collins, Presiding Commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, Northern Commissioner; Robert Foster, Southern Commissioner; Kendra Householder, Deputy County Clerk

Discussed maintenance on CR1481, CR500, CR1425 & CR400 near Caplinger

Discussed issue with Caplinger Bottoms. Commissioner Collins mentioned we may need to get some funding help, this will involve CORP.

Met with Tammy Ikerd, University Extension – Reviewed Monthly Outreach Report

Discussed Jail list for inmates, we are housing 65 inmates right now.

Discussed meeting with CMH to write a proposal for a Nurse Practitioner.  Will discuss with Dr. Smock before proceeding with options.

Submitted invoices for review.

Don Williams stopped by to meet Robert Foster, his road commissioner. Discussed a hole forming in front of his house on CR25.

Met with Tim Mark, Montevallo Trustee

Discussed issue on CR25 with installing a new pipe on driveway. Commissioners called Clayton Arnold. Commissioner Boultinghouse and Foster are going to meet Clayton & Tim on April 4, 2019 at 10:00 am to see issue in person.

Met with Ty Gaither, Prosecutor

Discussed letter he received from Opioid Attorney.

Met with Lloyd Kempf

Discussed CR450 ditches and needs gravel, also widening of Hwy 39 & CR450 entrance.

Commissioners reminded him that MODOT would have to take care of this. Mr. Kempf was already given a permit to repair last year but has not proceeded. Discussed his chicken barns. Commissioner Collins brought up doing Tornado drills with all people attending school & church at Cedar Springs.

Up to 50 kids attending now.

Reviewed monthly Circuit Court report.

Reviewed 2019 MAC Legislative Report and Discussed Senate Bill 391.

Motion by Boultinghouse to renew annual lease on Law Enforcement Facility; second by Foster
