Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor

Requests to process court order 24622-24627, to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor

Discussed 2019 FEMA project, potential for hiring two new employees.

Ted Anderson stopped by to discuss road repair on CR1481.

Tom Bryant to discuss whether road is closed, CR1170 east of CR2395.

Lloyd Perkins interested in road & bridge position.  Has worked for Webster County for 5 years.

Tom Lewis stopped in to discuss ordering a 30” culvert pipe at 525 on CR2000.  The ground in that area is recently being farmed to add to the water overflow that has been occurring.

Met with Sheriff James McCrary

Weekly Report of Inmate Housing – Out of County – 52, Cedar – 8 = 60

Met with ECCHIC – Howard Danzig insurance presentation for health insurance.  Presented options for fully insured and partially insurance programs.  Over time reduced deductibles, reduced cost, more oversight, and utilize local RX. Linn County, Monroe County, Morgan Co School Dist. utilize their services.  Rates available 7-10 days after census.

Met with Great River Engineering – Jason Sivils

Commission signed BRO-B020(18) for CR1620 bridge over Bear Creek.

Met with Walsworth – Dennis Paalhar, Sales Representative

Presented some options for 175th anniversary books.

Commission reviewed and signed an organization resolution to update contact information for credit card program.  Foster motion to approve resolution, Boultinghouse second; Collins – Yes, Boultinghouse – Yes, Foster – Yes

Commission reviewed email concerning the opioid class action suit but opted to not participate in the Unsecured Creditors’ Committee.

Commission reviewed and approved monthly reports for Prosecuting Attorney Office.

Bills and payroll were approved.

Discussed Kevin Morgan calling about Whippoorwill Acres. Kevin has talked to home owner and told them he would replace a pipe. Commissioner Collins explained that it was not a County Road.

Discussed CR701 that dead ends into his land. Having problems with neighbor Ray Hackelman about fencing lines and posts

County Commissioners called Ray Hackelman about CR 701 and posts that need removed. Sending Road & Bridge Department out to help pull out posts.

Sharon Ward, Jerico Springs, called Commissioners to thank them for quick response on getting tree out of road that had them blocked in from both directions. Road & Bridge was there in 2 hours of her calling in.

Need to discuss Rosie Clemons Road

Met with Peggy Kenney, Treasurer

Commission reviewed payment requests submitted to the Treasurer for discretionary funds by elected officials.

Byron Hamilton stopped by to discuss CR570 washboard problem.  Residents request installation of culverts to direct water flow.

Discussed 2019 FEMA project and where we are at in that process.

New equipment is working great. 

Contacted vendor about delivery of the new blades.

Requests a battery powered grinder for brush cutter blades. 

New tractor is pushing a small amount of hydraulic fluid out, contacted John Deere for warranty work, they are sending a tech. 

Discussed whether new employee had started work yet.

Discussed cost estimated for a radio repeater.

Commission signed DSSSF grant for 2019-2020.

Met with Marvin Manring to discuss hospital issues.

Reviewed monthly outreach report.

Met with Carole Wilkerson, Recorder of Deeds

Submitted monthly report, annual report of Recorder Pool funds. 

Met with Melinda Gumm, Circuit Clerk

Brought in an order from the Supreme Court, to be closed July 5, 2019.  Discussed delayed submittal of monthly report next week, delay due to new reporting system. Reports are done but not in the same format commission are accustomed to.

Discussed whether to be closed July 5th since Governor Parson is reported to be signing an order to close state offices.  County Commission declined closing the county offices.

Discussed bid for Myers Bridge.

Weekly Report of Inmate Housing – Out of County – 56, Cedar – 7 = 63

Jack Wright stopped by to report CR500, CR2191 water over the roads, CR2301 main transport route, gravel has washed into fields, ditches full, disabled wife has a disability van and the way those are designed is that they lower the floor.  CR500 is washed by water from CR2191 and CR2301. 

Opened Board of Equalization meeting.

Discussed CR425, CR1001, CR2225, CR500, CR2191, CR2301, CR1550, CR1570, CR1250, Pace Town Road, CR1071, CR1074, CR301, CR680, CR1350, CR1125, CR1900 and Stump Ford Bridge.

Received blades for the tractor last week. 

DJ ordered a grinder to grind the blades.

Katy Parker stopped by to report CR625 off of CC HWY, ditches need cleaned out, water runs across the property, also across the road and driveway.  Need culverts installed in the driveways.  Commission explained process.

Met with Sheridan Garman-Neeman, Kaysinger Basin

Sheridan has been in discussion with Sharon Gulick, representative for Exceed Program, and Building Local Prosperity project within the Exceed Program.  Sharon would like to work with Cedar County to be a part of this project.  This will be a great project for the new economic developer in January.  Kaysinger requested a support letter.  County Commission approved and signed support letter.  Boultinghouse motion, Foster second; Collins – Yes, Foster – Yes, Boultinghouse – Yes
