CEDAR COUNTY COMMISSION

The Cedar County Commission met December 10, 2018. Present were: Marion Collins, Presiding Commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, Northern Commissioner; Robert Foster, Southern Commissioner; Peggy Kenney, County Clerk

Minutes from December 3, 2018 Commission Meeting were approved.

Road and Bridge Supervisor absent; out in field doing bridge inspections with MoDot. Kevin Morgan discussed Bear Creek Bridge.

Larry Pursley discussed roads and bridges

Brian Hinkle, AFLAC requested permission to visit with employees; permission granted.

10:OOam Public Hearing concerning CAFO located in S18,T35,R27 and CAFO located in S20,T35,R27.

No concerns from the public were heard.

Met with James McCrary, Sheriff.

Reviewed monthly reports from the following office holders: James McCrary, Sheriff.

Sheridan Garman-Neeman Kaysinger Basin discussed possible funding available for economic development.

Met with Judge Mutton to discuss FYI2019 Budget; Agreed to increase budget by $5,000 for Court RecorderIReporter ; monies to be appropriated on an “as needed basis, if the need doesn’t arise the money will not be appropriated.

Met with Nora Powell.

Bills were approved to be paid.

3:OOpm Commission met with Great River Engineers at Bear Creek Bridge to discuss options for re-opening bridge.

Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor to process court order 23955 through 23002 to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property. (missing court order 23677)

Neal Bough applied for CAFO permit; public hearing scheduled for January 14,2019

Charlotte Haden, Public Administrator discussed an indigent person; she will follow up through the courts.

Rosie Clemons reported mail carrier concerns with 1475 Rd.

Met with James McCrary, Sheriff.

Request approval to apply for $10,000 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant; grant will be used to purchase active shooter kits; Commission approved; no matching funds required by the county.

Reviewed monthly reports from the following office holders: Melinda Gum, Circuit Clerk, Cedar County Health Department.

Jesse Taylor discussed Bear Creek Bridge; temporarily closed by MoDot.

Tammy Ikerd’ Patrick Davis presented MU Extension report; discussed 2019 Budget

Joe Phillips, gave Senior Service Tax Board report.

Payroll was approved to be paid.

Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor to process court order 24003 through 24037 to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property, (missing court order 23677)

Commission will not meet week of December 24,2018; next commission meeting will be December 31, 2018.
