In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

March 26 – Officers responded to 401 East Spring concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a walk-behind weed eater. A report taken and the investigation continues. 

Arrest: John R. Herndon Jr., 20, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County warran charging him with resisting arrest with a $5,000 bond. He was transported to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

March 27 – Arests: James R. Willmore, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for a Buchanan County warrant, charging him with non-support with a $1,000 cash bond.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.   

Arrest: Chelsea S. Duncan, 24, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging her with failure to appear on the original charge of stealing, with a $576 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.  Duncan also received Municipal Court citations charging her with theft of City Services. 

Arrest: David T. Smith, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failure to appear on original charge of disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

March 28 – Arrested Brandee G. Lawson, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with fail to Appear per Court Order on the original charges of peaced disturbance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with a bond of $1,979.50.   He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

Officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department served a search warrant at 201 East Twyman, after receiving information of illegal drug activity. Officers located controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Anthony J Gonzales, 25, of El Dorado Springs charging him with possession less than 35 grams and marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrest was Richard Lord, 42, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

March 29 – Officers responded to 315 East Fields, apartment A, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a chainsaw. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

March 30 – Arrest: Amy J. Miller, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for an active El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant charging her with failure to appear on the original charge of stealing with a $276 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Officers responded to 217 West Joe Davis concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a hitch insert with a 2 inch ball, and hitch pin. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Officers responded to 200 block of West Springs concerning a reported assault.  A juvenile suspect has been identified and referred to the juvenile office.

Officers responded to 201 East Twyman concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Nickolas D. Mitchel, 27, and Jesse R. Voegele, 28, of El Dorado Springs, charging them with Peace Disturbance by fighting. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.   

March 30 – Officers arrested Kenneth C. Cerny, 44, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of felony tampering with a motor vehicle. Officers completed a probable cause statement for the charge. The Cedar County prosecuting attorney decline to file the felony charge and Cerny was release on summonses charging him with misdemeanor tampering with a motor vehicle.

March 31 – Officers responded to the intersection of Ohio and Lafayette Streets for a report of a vehicle fire. The investigation revealed evidence of arson of a motor vehicle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 31, 2018, officers responded to the 600 block of South Main Street concerning a disturbance. The investigation resulted in a juvenile referred to the Juvenile Office for possession of drug paraphernalia and beyond parental control.

March 31 – Officers responded to 312 West 54 Hwy, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

April 1 – Officers responded to 220 West Spring concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Gary R. Norval, 34, El Dorado Springs, charging him with domestic assault and resisting arrest. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.
