In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On September 10, 2018, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department served a search warrant for illegal drugs at 207 West Fields Street, after receiving information of marijuana production.  Officer seized Marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Michael J Hill, 63, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Marijuana Production, Keeping and Maintaining a Public Nuisance, Possession of Less than 35 grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summonses. Additional charges are expected in this case.

On September 11, 2018, officers responded to a reported assault that occurred at 1301 East Industrial Parkway, Southwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 11, 2018, officers responded to 305 South High concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a television and play station.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 12, 2018, officers arrested Paul D. Coleman, 47, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear, on the original charges of Dog at Large and Dog License Required, with $1301.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On September 13, 2018, officers arrested Damien L. Harder, 22, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Driving without a Valid License, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Possession of an Illegal Weapon, and Wrong Plates. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On September 14, 2018, officers responded to 1207 South Main concerning a reported larceny from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a purse containing a wallet, $120 in cash, identification card, debit cards, and medication. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 14, 2018, officers arrested James A. Sailors, 48, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on contempt of court with $75.50 bond.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On September 14, 2018, officers arrested Joseph S. Batchelor, 40, of Stockton, charging him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Prohibited Weapons, Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid License, and Failure to Display License Plates properly on motor vehicle. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On September 16, 2018, officers responded to 100 East Hospital Road concerning a reported trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Brenton L. Kafer, 25, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of dog at large with a $126.00 bond and a Nevada Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of No Proof of Insurance with a $110.00 cash only bond. He was released on bond pending court appearances.
