In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On December 17, 2018, officers responded to the intersection of Spring and High Streets concerning a reported motor vehicle accident, with injury. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jacob A. Bowman, 24, of Harwood, Missouri, charging him with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Suspended, and Careless and Reckless Driving. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On December 18, 2018, officers responded to 607 South Jackson concerning a reported domestic disturbance. A report was taken and incident was handled by the officer.

On December 18, 2018, officers responded to 306 North Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a gray, vinyl purse with large, round handles and leopard print fabric lining, containing a black, cloth wallet with a Missouri Driver’s License, Shopko card, Woods card, health insurance card, Visa card, JC Penney card, approximately $35.00 in cash, and, a checkbook full of checks. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On December 19, 2018, officers responded to 116 West Martin concerning a reported burglary and larceny.  The investigation revealed that a storage shed had been broken into and a framed auctioneer certificate had been taken. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On December 20, 2018, officers arrested Patrick L. Murphey, II, 23, of Bolivar, Missouri, for the following Polk County Felony Probation Violation Warrants: Possession of a Controlled Substance, with a bond of $50,000.00, Possession of Child Pornography, with no bond, and, Possession of a Controlled Substance, with no bond. Officers also issued summonses charging him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Methamphetamine. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending extradition and court appearances.

On December 20, 2018, officers arrested Doreen L. Cooper, 62, for an active El Dorado Springs Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance, with a bond of $276.50. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On December 21, 2018, officers responded to 805 South Jackson concerning tampering with city utility. The investigation revealed an unauthorized connection with City Water Service. A suspect was identified and summonses were issued for Utility Tampering and Larceny.

On December 21, 2018, officers responded to 302 South Kirkpatrick concerning a burglary and larceny that reportedly occurred between December 17, 2018, and December 21, 2018. The investigation revealed damage to an entry door and the theft of three ceiling fans. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On December 22, 2018, officers responded to 1301 East Industrial Parkway, Southwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.
