In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On March 18, 2019, officers responded to 326 West Fields concerning a reported burglary and larceny. The investigation revealed forced entry was made to a shop building and had stolen a large, older model, chainsaw. On March 21, 2019, officers arrested Gary J. Greathouse, Jr., 22, of Stockton, and Alexander J. Masters, 19, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of burglary and stealing. Officers completed Probable Cause Statements for these charges. On March 22, 2019, officers received a Cedar County Felony Warrant charging Greathouse with two counts of Burglary-2nd Degree and Stealing, with a $10,000.00 bond, and a Cedar County Felony Warrant charging Masters with two counts of Burglary-2nd Degree and Stealing, with a $10,000.00 bond. Both were transported to Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On March 18, 2019, officers responded to 329 West Lafayette concerning a reported burglary and larceny. The investigation revealed that force entry was made into the building and two; full face motorcycle helmets and a black pair of leather motorcycle riding gloves were stolen. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 18, 2019, officers arrested Richard J. Lord, 43, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a $569.50 bond. Officers also issued him a summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released after a court appearance.

On March 19, 2019, officers arrested Jacob J. Patalsky, 37, for two active Newton County Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Driving While Revoked/Suspended and Speeding, with a combined $500.00 cash bond. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.

On March 24, 2019, officers responded to 312 West US 54 Highway, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny/shoplifting. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On March 24, 2019, officers responded to 1100 South Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed entry was made into the residence and a red and white, Tiger Claw catfish pole, a window air conditioner, two, white and blue, three drawer plastic cabinets, a small blue cooler, a kitchen stand mixer, and three, blue and green, bathtub shaped totes were stolen. A report taken and the investigation continues.
