In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On April 29, 2019, officers arrested James E. Cole, 45, of Walnut Grove, MO, for two Polk County Felony Warrants charging him with a total of four counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and two counts of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with no bond. Officers also completed a Probable Cause statement for the charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful possession of a Concealable Firearm. He was transported to Cedar County Jail pending transfer and a court appearance.

On April 29, 2019, officers responded to 118 West Gay concerning suspicious activity. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Angela K. Barlow, 39, charging her with Trespassing. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On April 30, 2019, officers responded to 200 North Jackson concerning a reported theft of a flatbed trailer. The investigation revealed the theft of a black, 5’ by 10’, 1999 Star flatbed tilt trailer with a Missouri license plate of 14E1EK. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 30, 2019, officers responded to 710 South Grand concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of an orange Husqvarna chainsaw, a blue Mikita grinder, a red and black Craftsman sawzall with two batteries and a charger, and a gray dremel tool. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 30, 2019, officers arrested Veronica B. Roberts, 17, charging her with Violation of an Ex Parte Child Protection Order. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On May 1, 2019, officers responded to 302A South Kirkpatrick concerning a reported assault. Suspects have been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On May 1, 2019, officers responded to 111 East US 54 Highway, Kennon Ready Mix, concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of an orange Echo curved shaft weed eater, an orange Echo straight shaft weed eater, two small Coleman propane bottles, and a black and yellow 18V DeWalt cordless drill including two batteries, a charger, and the case.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 1, 2019, officers arrested Korey L. Wegener, 32, for a Fugitive from Justice on a Clay County, Kansas, Warrant charging him with Probation Violation, on the original charge of Theft, with no bond. He was transferred to Cedar County Jail pending extradition.

On May 1, 2019, officers arrested William S. Cain, 46, charging him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid Except 10 Grams or Less. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 2, 2019, officers responded to 108 North High in concerning a reported peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrests of John D. Donahue, Jr., 34, charging him with Peace Disturbance. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On May 2, 2019, officers responded to the El Dorado Springs Community Center at 135 West Spring concerning a reported larceny. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Wendi A. Kite, 41, and Amber C. Moore, 32, charging them with Larceny Under $500.00. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 2, 2019, officers responded to Cedar County Memorial Hospital in reference to an assault that occurred at 115 West Walnut. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Aaron J. Simrell, 19, charging him with Peace Disturbance. He was released on summons pending a court appearance. Other suspects have been identified, Probable Cause Statements have been completed and the investigation continues.

On May 2, 2019, officers arrested Rutger T. Crawford, 23, for Possession of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid of 10 Grams or Less, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Obstruction/Obstructing a Criminal Investigation. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 3, 2019, officers responded to 1022 South Park concerning a reported theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of two pairs of sunglasses, approximately $13.00 in change, two flashlights, a savings account ledger, and four bottles of prescription medication,. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 3, 2019, officers responded to 410 South Summer concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a black, Samsung J3 cell phone and approximately $240.00 in cash. Suspects have been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On May 3, 2019, officers responded to 300 East Gentry concerning a reported burglary.  The investigation revealed that forced entry was made into the residence and a double door refrigerator was stolen. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 4, 2019, officers responded to 204 South Jackson, Apartment 3, concerning a report of suspicious persons trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Angela K. Barlow, 39, charging her with   Trespassing and Larceny Under $500.00, and, John L. Wassenaar, 46, charging him with Trespassing. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 4, 2019, officers responded to 110 South Grand concerning a report of property damage. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Thomas B. Jewell, 39, charging him with Trespassing and Larceny Under $500.00, and, Dani L. McRae, 29, charging her with Trespassing and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were released on summonses pending a court appearance.
