In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

May 16 – Arrests: David T. Smith, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for a State probation violation with no bond. He was transferred to Cedar County jail.

Donavon M. Anderson, 17, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs warrant, charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of assault with a $401 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

May 17 – Officers responded to 113 West Cruce concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a 35 MM camera, pair of Nike tennis shoes  and pair of Air Jordan tennis shoes. A report taken and the investigation continues.

May 15 – Arrest: Jesse L. Ewing, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Cedar County warrant, charging him with aggravated stalking 1st degree, property damage 1st degree, knowingly burning or exploding, tampering with physical evidence in felony prosecution, and (10) violations of order of protection with a $25,000 cash only bond. He was transferred to Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

May 18 – Arrest: Jessica A. Haslock, 29, of Stockton, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging her with fail to appear to answer to possession of drug paraphernalia, with a $291 bond.

Officers responded to 723 North Jackson concerning a reported burglary. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Officers responded to 512 South Summer concerning a reported tampering with a motor vehicle. This investigation revealed cut brake lines on a 1997 Ford Windstar minivan. A report taken and the investigation continues.

May 19 – Officers responded to 115 West McCrary concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of two bicycles. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Officers responded to 315 East Fields, Apt A, concerning a reported disturbance.  Handled by officer.

Arrest: John R. Gruber, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for three Cedar County warrants for failure to appear on four (4) counts of Class C felony, second degree burglary with no bond,  failure to appear on Class C felony keeping or maintaining a public nuisance   and Class C felony possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana with no bond and for Class B felony distribution/delivery/manufacture/produce or attempt to or possess with the intent to distribution/delivery/manufacture/produce a controlled substance with no bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending a court appearance.
