In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

July 31 – Officers responded to 113 West Cruce concerning a reported theft of electricity and tampering with utilities.  A reported taken and the investigation continues.

Aug 1 – Officers responded to 901 South Grand, El Dorado Springs R-2 School, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a green Green Bay Packers backpack, a tank top, hat, and a set of car keys. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Arrests: Steven A. Horning, 33, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County warrant, charging him with failure to appear on an original charge of assault with a $50 cash only bond.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Joshua J. Byram, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for an active El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of two counts of dog at large with a $151 bond. He was released on bond and a summons charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers responded to 205 1/2, West 54 Hwy, Dollar General Store, concerning a reported larceny of food items. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Donald L. Barker, 52, of El Dorado Springs, on Aug. 2, 2107, charging him with larceny. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Aug 2 – Officers responded to 1501 South First Street, El Dorado Springs Special Road District, concerning a reported larceny of equipment. The investigation revealed the theft of a yellow Caterpillar 120H, road grader value $80,000 to $100,000 and damages to road surfaces. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Tyler M. Wilkins, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Municipal warrant, for failure to appear per court order, with a cash or surety bond of $379, and the probable cause of tampering in the first degree and property damage. Officers complete a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Wilkins with first degree tampering with a motor vehicle and first degree property damage, with a $5,000 cash only bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and court appearances.

Aug 2 – Arrests: David T. Smith, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Nevada Municipal warrant, charging him with fail to appear on the original charge of expired license plates and no valid operator’s license with a $337.20 cash only bond and for the probable cause of no operator’s license, no proof of insurance, failure to stop at a stop sign, fail to register motor vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance and received summonses pending court appearances.

Thomas G. Iseman Jr, 26, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with no operators license and failure to stop at a posted stop sign. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Aug 2 – Officers responded to 600 South Summer concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of four rods and reels. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Aug 3 – Officers responded to 122 West Martin concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

Aug 4  – Officers responded to 1005 East Patricia concerning a reported larceny and property damage. The investigation revealed the theft of gasoline and a cut tire. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Aug 6 – Officers responded to 302 South Kirkpatrick, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of US currency. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Officers responded to 401 West Fields, Barrington’s, concerning a reported trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Dustin D. Thorne-White, 21, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with trespassing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.
