In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Sept 11 – Officers responded to 100 East Hwy 54, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a green Gorilla steel utility cart. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

Sept 12 – Arrests: Krystal D. Fuqua, 37, of Hume, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging her with failure to appear, on the original charge of obstruct duty of officer. She appeared in municipal court and was returned to the Vernon County jail to be held on other charges.

Roy A. Love, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failure appear on the original charges of fail to obey an officer and possession of marijuana. He appeared in municipal court and was returned to the Cedar County jail to be held on other charges.

Tyler M. Wilkins, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failure to appear per court order, on the original charge of driving while intoxicated. He appeared in municipal court and released.

Officers responded to 225 West Fields concerning a reported stolen bicycle.  The investigation revealed theft of a Mongoose Brawler 20 inch bicycle.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

Sept 13 – Officers responded to 302 North Grand concerning a reported larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of a cell phone.  Suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

Officers responded to 805 South Kirkpatrick concerning a reported disturbance.  The investigation resulted in the arrests of Henry W. Stebbins, 19, and Robert L. Ellifrits Jr, 52, of El Dorado Springs, charging them with peace disturbance. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

Sept 14 – Arrested John R. Herndon Jr. 19, of El Dorado Springs, for two Vernon County warrants, charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of non-moving traffic violation with a $10 cash bond and failure to appear on the original charge of moving traffic violation with a $200 cash bond. He also received summonses for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and was transported to Vernon County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

Officers responded to 805 South Kirkpatrick Street concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Robert L. Ellifrits, Jr, 52, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with peace disturbance. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Sept 15 – Officers responded to 109 West Broadway concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a silver push mower and a red weed eater. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Sept 16 – Officers responded to 408 North Grand concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Ricky D. Meyer, 37, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with peace disturbance. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.
