In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Oct 31 –  Arrest: John Herndon Jr, 19, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance. He was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.

Nov 1 – Arrest: Erica N. Bybee, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

Nov 2 – Officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department served a search warrant at 502 South Forrest after receiving information of criminal activity.  Officers located a firearm, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and illegal drugs. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Steven A Horning, 34, and Amy J. Miller, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause for unlawful for certain persons to possess a firearm D felony, possession of a controlled substance class D Felony and possession of drug paraphernalia class A misdemeanor. Officers completed probable cause statements for these charges. Officer received Cedar County warrants charging Horning and Miller with possession of a controlled substance class D felony with a bond of $10,000.  They were transferred to the Cedar County jail.  An estimated weight of 17 grams of methamphetamine was seized by officers. Also arrested was Wendi A Kite, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of possession of a controlled substance, class D felony, keeping or maintaining a public nuisance, class E felony, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), class D misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia, class D misdemeanor. The Cedar County Prosecuting Attorney declined to file and deferred the charging to Municipal Ordinance. Kite was released on summonses pending a Municipal Court appearance.

Nov  2 – Officers responded to 500 East Fields, trailer number 8, concerning a reported burglary.  The investigation revealed the theft of a ZTE cell phone and sim card. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Nov 3 – Officers responded to 500 East Fields, trailer #19, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a yellow 29 inch mongoose bicycle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Nov 3 – Officers responded to 603 South Kirkpatrick, concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of two amplifiers, speakers, a 32 inch Vizio TV and a Wireless Microphone system. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Nov 5 – Officers responded to 309 West Carmen concerning a reported domestic assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.
