In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Dec 18 – Arrests:  Wendi K Kite, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging her with failure to appear on the original charges of no operator’s license and no proof of insurance with a $92 bond. She was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.

Dec 18 – William E. Soban, 32, of El Dorado Springs, for a Jackson County warrant, charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of assault with a $1,000 bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County jail pending bond and transfer to Jackson County.

Dec 18, – Officers responded to 303 North Main concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of medications.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

Dec 19 – officers responded to  the intersection of Joe Davis and Park Streets for a report of a larceny. The investigation revealed that forced entry was made into a US Postal vehicle and items of mail were stolen. On Dec 20, 2017, officers assisted by agents of the US Postal Inspector Service arrested Timothy A. Hocking, 31, of El Dorado Springs charging him with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. Officer completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging him with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest with a $1,500 bond. Hocking was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance. Additional charges are expected in this case.

Dec 19 –   Arrest: Roy D. Hall, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failure to appear, on the original charge of no operator’s license with a $101l bond. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.

Dec 20 – Officers responded to 608 South Grand concerning a reported burglary. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Dec 22 – Officers responded to 135 West Spring concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a black coat. A report taken and the investigation continues.
