In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Jan 8 – Arrest: Timothy A. Hocking, 31, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Cedar County Felony warrant charging him with sealing, class D felony, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia class A msdemeanor with a $5,000 cash bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond a court appearance.

Jan 9 – Arrests: a Brian K. Snethen, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Cole County warrant, charging him with probation violation on the original charge of domestic assault with a $200 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.   

Jan 9 – Officers responded to 303 West Broadway concerning a check the well being. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Edward B. Johnson, 31, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Jan 10 – Officers responded to 408 East Walnut concerning a domestic assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

Jan 11 Officers responded to 302 A South Kirkpatrick, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a door.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

Jan 11 – Arrest: Donna L. Pitts, 51, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County warrant charging her with parole violation on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance with no bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending a court appearance.

Jan12 – Officers responded to 205 1/2 West .54 Hwy, Dollar General Store, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Garmen Navigational system, as well as some CDs from a motor vehicle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Jan 12 – Arrests: Officers responded to 312 West  54 Hwy, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of alcoholic beverages. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Kyle A. Mishmash, 32, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with larceny and resisting arrest. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance. Also arrested was Ethan J. Stevens, 18, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with larceny, resisting arrest and minor in possession of alcoholic beverage. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

Jan 12 – Arrest: Zachary J. Guenther, 29, of El Dorado Springs, for driving while suspended. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Jan 13 – Officers responded to 201 North Kirkpatrick, American Legion Post #233, concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed forced entry and the theft of a gray safe,  four 32 inch televisions, six  1903A3 Bolt Action drill and ceremony rifles, soda pop and rolls of toilet paper. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Jan 14 – Arrests: Edward B. Johnson, 31, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with resisting Arrest, and a Vernon County warrant, charging him with violation of a Court Order with a $1,500 bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

Jan 14 – Arrest: Benjamin L. Rash, 19, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs warrant, charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of speeding with a $38.50 bond, a Cedar County warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of pursue/take/kill/posses or dispose of wildlife illegally with a $15 bond
