In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On March 19, 2018, officers responded to 400 South Park concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft City Utility services.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 19, 2018, officers responded to the 600 block of East Broadway concerning a report of Careless and Reckless Driving. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jose M. Mendoza, 71, of Rocky Ford, CO, charging him with Careless and Reckless Driving, and Property Damage. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On March 20, 2018, officers arrested Tina M. Applebee, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for a McDonald County Warrant, charging her with Passing a Bad Check, with a$1000.00 cash bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending bond and transferred to McDonald County.

On March 20, 2018, officers arrested Steven A. Horning, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Bench Warrant, charging him with Direct Contempt of Court with 30 days in jail. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail.

On March 20, 2018, officers arrested Richard R. Harper, 48, of Joplin, for a Jasper County Warrant, charging him for Possession of a Controlled Substance, with no bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending transfer to Jasper County.

On March 23, 2018, officers responded to 227 West US 54 Highway, Pete’s Convenience Store, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a phone charger.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 23, 2018, officers arrested Tyler M. Wilkins, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failed to Appear to answer to Drive While Intoxicated with a bond of $194.50.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On March 23, 2018, officers responded to 604 South Forrest Street, El Dorado Senior Center, concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 23, 2018, officers arrested Jesse M. Hill, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Assault with a $351.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On March 23, 2018, officers responded to 312 W. US Highway 54, Woods Supermarket, in reference person attempting to pass a counterfeit twenty dollar bill. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 24, 2018, officers responded to 114 West Patricia Street concerning a reported larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of a pack of cigarettes. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 24, 2018, officers responded to 300 South Grand concerning a reported assault. Juvenile suspects have been identified and referred to the juvenile office.

On March 24, 2018, officers responded to 115 North main concerning a reported motor vehicle theft.  The investigation revealed the theft of a dirt bike. The bike was later recovered and returned to the owner.  Juvenile suspects have been identified and referred to the juvenile office.

On March 24, 2018, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of $37.00 of fuel.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 25, 2018, officers arrested Michael W. King, 60, of Deerfield, for the probable cause of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Marijuana, and a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance except 35 grams or less of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm with no bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On March 25, 2018, officers responded to 106 West Patricia concerning a reported burglary.  The investigation revealed the theft of a sawzall, circular saw, drill, and tool belt. A report taken and the investigation continues.
