Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran and the Commissioners discussed motor grader locations, culverts, department radios, repeaters and equipment repairs.

The  Commissioners  signed an agreement between St. Clair County Collector and City of Appleton City for collection of taxes for year 2017.

The Commissioners telephoned Kevin Barker, Maping Solutions, regarding new Plat Books. An appointment will be made next week to discuss information for printing new plat books.

The Commissioners telephoned Nancy Stephan, St. Clair County Health Department, regarding a vacancy on the Health Board. An appointment will be  made next week to meet with the Commissioners regarding this matter.

The Commissioners wrote a letter to Brian Higgins relating to the fact and St. Clair County had no records indicating the his lane is or has ever been a county maintained road.

After discussion Commissioner Strope made a motion to select Garver Engineering for the upcoming #096008 Bridge Project on NE 1270 Rd.

The Financial audit for years ended 2015 and 2016 began May 15, 2017. McBride, Lock & Associates, LLC is the firm that has been contracted by the State to perform said audit.

The Commissioners telephoned Gale Kalberloh, Chloe Special Road District, to inform him that an engineering firm for the bridge project had been selected.

The Commissioners reviewed and telephoned applicants for and set up interview dates and times for the part-time Road and Bridge position.

The Commission met on May 22 with all present.

The Commissioners and Road and Bridge Supervisor conducted interviews for the part-time Road and Bridge Department position.

CART Revenues received were $57,061.19. $40,979.91 was the portion going to Common Road District. Out of these revenues funds are allocated to the following Special Road Districts: Appleton City Special $2,842.78; Chloe Special $1,868.11; Collins Special $3,655; Hillsdale Special $1,868.11; Osceola Special $3,005.22; Vista Special $2,842.78.

CART is County Aid Road Trusts. This is the county’s portion of Missouri motor fuel tax, motor vehicles sales tax and motor vehicle license fee increases.

The Commissioners reviewed and discussed the interviews for the part-time Road and Bridge position. No decision was made at this time.

Travis Tindall, representing nForm Architecture, telephoned to discuss office space for he sheriff’s office.

Later during the meeting, Sheriff Scott Keeler brought in an updated cost estimate for the sheriff’s office that he received from nForm Architecture.

A telephone call was received to report a tree across NE 1271 Rd.
