Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran telephoned and discussed pipe delivery for SW 871 Rd.

The Commission discussed printing of Plat Books. The new Plat Books should be ready in December.

Mike Himes, representing St. Louis-Kansas City Carpenters Council, stopped in to visit with the Commission.

The St. Clair County Commission met Wednesday, Aug. 14, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner, Leroy Strope, north commissioner, Gerald Williams, north commissioner and Marian McCaslin, administrative assistant present.

The Commission discussed with Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran, dump trucks and repair, department radios, roads, brush cutters and motor graders locations.

Lindsey Chaffin, Great River Associates, telephoned and reported they had received all permits concerning the bridge replacement on SW 871 Rd; therefore, pipes can be ordered for the project.

The St. Clair County Commission met Wednesday,  Aug. 16, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner, Leroy Strope, south commissioner, Gerald Williams, north commissioner, Debbie Peden, county clerk and Marian McCaslin, administrative assistant present.

The Commission discussed with Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran, tire repair, dump truck repair, brush cutting and department equipment. Discussed were locations of brush cutters-North side cutters are currently located in the Ohio area and South side cutters are currently located in the Rainey area.

Commissioner Strope made a motion to approve and sign a Certified Copy of Order of Tax Sale 2016 Over Plus redeemed by Mark Fischer to fulfill the redemption process for Russell James. Motion carried.

Presiding Commissioner Robert Salmon, North Commissioner Leroy Strope and South Commissioner Gerald Williams met with Lila Foster, representing City of Osceola; John Neuenschwander, representing City of Lowry City; Karol Stephan, representing City of Appleton City; and Elizabeth Teeters, representing Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission, and Sheridan Garman-Neeman, St. Clair County Economic Developer. The purpose of the meeting was an annual review for the St. Clair County Economic Developer. Garman-Neeman presented an update on current activities.

A unanimous decision was made for the group to reconvene on Sept. 20.

The St. Clair County Commission met on Monday, Aug. 21, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner, Leroy Strope, north commissioner, Debbie Peden, county clerk and Marian McCaslin, administrative assistant present.

A local citizen was in to visit with the Commission regarding mowing NE 726 Rd. They were informed the mowers were in the Ohio area and were working towards NE 726 Rd and NE 501 Rd. areas. The Commission explained that due to the rains this year, causing rapid growth of weeds and grass, the County is mowing every workday possible.
