The St. Clair County Commission met Monday, Oct. 15, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner; Leroy Strope, north commissioner; Gerald Williams, south commissioner; Debbie Peden, county clerk and Marian McCaslin, administrative assistant present.

The Commission and Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran discussed motor graders and brush cutters locations. They reviewed e equipment for the department and equipment repairs.

The Commission spoke with Charles Thomas, Viebrock Sales and Service, regarding contractors for bridge replacement on NW 750 Rd.

The Commission received references and are awaiting contact form a bridge contractor to review bridge replacement on NW 750 Rd.

Commission met Monday, Oct.22, will all present.

CART Revenues received were $58,226.24. $41,816.10 was the portion going to Common Road District. Out of these revenues, funds were allocated to the following Special Road Districts: Appleton City Special $2,900.78; Chloe Special $1,906.23; Collins Special $3,729.58; Hillsdale Special $1,906.23; Osceola Special $3,066.54; Vista Special $2,900.78.

The Commission discussed motor graders and brush cutters locations, roads, bridges, empoyee health insurance and CERF contributions.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon reported on Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission’s annual meeting which was held Thursday, Oct. 18. Salmon reported that St. Clair County received “County of the Year” award for the county’s efforts concerning Economic Development.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon reported on a bridge he viewed in Benton County which was built by Do-Rite Construction.

The Commission and St. Clair County Clerk/Budget Officer Debbie Peden worked on budgets.
