Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made six warrant arrests and took reports of burglary and stealing during the week of Aug. 7-14.

Aug. 8, Delbert Gould, 32, Osceola, was arrested on three St. Clair County warrants and one Pettis County warrant.

In St. Clair County, Gould is charged with failing to appear in court on a class C felony charge of burglary-second degree, a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor no insurance, a misdemeanor displaying plates of another and two misdemeanor charges of driving while revoked.  Total bond on the St. Clair County charge is $15,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred in September 2015. In October 2015, a St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report on NE 310 Private Rd, Osceola. Michael Gonder reported damage to a door of his residence and several items missing from inside including a pair of camouflaged boots, a propane bottle and a power washer. The total value of the items stolen was estimated at $2,855. During the investigation Gould was identified utilizing surveillance photos taken from the property. In one photo Gould is wearing the stolen boots.

Gould was also arrested on a Pettis County warrant charging him with probation violation on an original class C felony charge of tampering with a motor vehicle-first degree. The warrant was issued in December 2016 and bond is set at $1,300 cash only. The original charge stems from an incident in March 2014.

Clayton Barker, 53, Osceola, was arrested in St. Clair County on four warrants from Humansville Police Department. Barker is charged with failing to appear in court on ordinance violations of driving while suspended, failing to produce insurance and two counts of failure to register a motor vehicle. Total bond is set at $350 cash only.

Aug  10 – Lakota L. Goodwin, 19, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of controlled substance and class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation the previous day on Coon Creek Street, Collins. During the investigation an orange syringe cap was located in the closet along with three spoons with residue. An eye glass container was located in the back yard around a tree. The container contained multiple syringes, modified spoons and a couple pieces of cotton. One of the syringes contained a quantity of a clear liquid substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Bradford L Moore Jr., 39, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony domestic assault-second degree and a class A misdemeanor driving while suspended-second offense. Bond is set at $15,000 cash only. The charges stem from an Osceola Police Department investigation on July 15.       

Aug 11 – Valerie Newman, 54, Collins, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony driving while intoxicated, a class E misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and a class A misdemeanor driving while revoked. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation on Aug. 11, when a deputy was dispatched to Shelby’s Conoco  Station, Lowry City, in reference to suspicious vehicle. Employees reported the vehicle had been running and parked in front of the air pump for a couple hours. Newman was located sitting in the driver seat of the vehicle with the engine running. During the investigation a glass pipe with white residue was located in front of the gear shifter. Newman was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated/drugged condition. A prescription bottle with Newman’s name on it was also located. Inside were the listed pills along with a clear plastic bag with a crystalline substance. A check revealed Newman had a revoked drivers’ license and numerous driving while intoxicated convictions. Three of those convictions were in the State of Missouri along with additional arrests from the State of Georgia. Both the pipe and the crystalline substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Stephanie Roberts reported she left the garage at 6 p.m. on Aug. 10 and returned on Aug.11 to find the lock on the garage door missing. Roberts reported several items missing including a brown leather reclining couch, a recliner with nail heads on the arms, a small black kitchen table with stained top and four matching chairs, two green bedside tables with wood tops, a Better Homes and Garden comforter, three gray bath towels, a 42-inch Samsung TV flat screen, two glass jars, six knives, six forks, six spoons, six teaspoons, two pot holders, two oven mitts, six hand towels, six melamine bowls, six melamine salad plates, a gray sheet set, two car ramps, a mattress set, two wood stoves, a pink grocery cart, an antique oil can, antique glass lamp and a match box holder dispenser. Total value of items missing was estimated at $3,385.                     

St. Clair deputy was dispatched to East Third Street, Lowry City, in reference to a burglary.

Christina Greenburg and Richard Rife reported they had not been staying at the residence do to the fact there is no power. They stated they were on their way to work and drove by the house on Aug. 10 at approximately 1 p.m. and noticed the back door was open, but did not have time to stop and check on it. They came back by at approximately 7 p.m. on Aug. 10 and noticed their new purple and white mountain bike valued at $170 missing. They stated since there weren’t any lights, they locked the door and went to where they were staying. They returned the morning of Aug. 11 to find several items missing including, a Craftsman “My Stride” self propelled push mower, a large knife with a griffin on the handle, a roll of 220 Volt wire, a tote full of miscellaneous tools, twenty “X box 360” games, and kids bicycles. The total value of the items was estimated at $1,590.

Aug. 12 – a St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report at Riverside Duck Club, in the Taberville area. James Widman reported several items stolen from his truck.

Widman stated his Ford pickup was unlocked and he left the duck lodge around 8 a.m. to do some work in a different location. At approximately 11 a.m. Widman returned to the lodge and noticed his billfold was missing from the truck. The billfold contained approximately $82, hunting licenses, truck keys, vehicle registration, game camera, battery charger, pair of prescription glasses and camouflage rain gear. Total value of items missing was estimated at $1,322.

Aug. 13 – Larry Chamberlain, 61, Springfield, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Christian County warrant. The warrant charges him with failure to appear on an original charge of a class C felony of passing bad checks. The warrant was issued in September 2007 and bond is set at $3,500 cash only.

Aug. 14, George Richey, 55, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class A misdemeanor peace disturbance.  Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

The charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation the same day when a deputy took a report from a female victim who stated Richey has been threatening to kill her family with a baseball bat. The female had a recording of the incident on her cell phone. She stated she was in fear for her life and filled out a request for prosecution

Aug. 16 – Cynthia Chaluisant, 38, Collins, was arrested on probation violation from an original charge of possession of controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The original charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office and Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force investigation in April 26, 2013, at a residence on TT Hwy, Osceola. During the investigation, a glass pipe that contained white powder which field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in Chaluisant’s purse.

Shannon Knowles, 46, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with failure to appear on an original charge of possession of controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The original charge stems from an incident on April 15, 2015, when St. Clair County deputies, members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, and the Miller County SWAT Team served a search warrant at her residence on Miller Street, Appleton City. During the investigation, a small plastic bag containing a white substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located in a bedroom. Knowles allegedly admitted the methamphetamine was hers and stated it had been there for three years.

Aug. 17 – Ola Roberts, 48, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of controlled substance, a class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana and a class D misdemeanor of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation the previous day when deputies and members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force were at a residence on Beech Street, Appleton City. During the investigation, a glass pipe containing a white powdery and burned substance was located inside a black zippered bag. The items field test was positive for methamphetamine. A clear plastic bag containing burnt marijuana, a marijuana grinder, and two marijuana pipes were located inside a black pouch.

Mitchell Gibbs, 25, Joplin, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant and four other warrants from various counties.

Gibbs was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for probation violation on an original class C felony charge of passing bad check-$500 or more. Gibbs also had a warrant from Vernon County charging him with misdemeanor passing a bad check. In Bates County, Mitchell is charged with class C felony passing a bad check-$500 or more. In Jasper County, he is charged with misdemeanor passing a bad check and in Cedar County, Mitchell is charged with four class C felony charges of passing a bad check-$500 or more. Total bond is set at $6,050 cash only.

Samuel O’Bryan, 51, Blue Springs, was arrested on a probation violation warrant on an original class C felony charge of possession of controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The original charge stems from an investigation on April 9, 2016, when a St. Clair County deputy made a traffic stop on a recreational vehicle that O’Bryan was a passenger in. The vehicle was traveling south on Hwy 13 turning west onto B Hwy, Osceola, and the taillights were not working. During the investigation a glass pipe with a white powdery substance was located. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.

John Chiles, 41, Deepwater, was arrested on an active felony probation revocation warrant on an original charge of assault. This is a no bond charge.

Daniel Chiles, 39, Deepwater, was arrested in St. Clair County on active warrants from Henry and Jackson County for failing to appear in court.  In Henry County Chiles is charged with driving while intoxicated. In Jackson County, he is charged with misdemeanor family offenses. Total bond is set at $5,612.77 cash only. Chiles was transported to the Henry County line and transferred to into their custody.
