Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made eight warrant arrests and took a report of property damage during the week of Sept 4-11, 2017.

Sept. 5 – Oleyesa Tiegs, 25, Carthage, was arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging her with class C felony delivery of controlled substance, class D felony delivery of a controlled substance to a county jail and class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $3,000 surety only.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office and Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force investigation on July 11. Tiegs and another female were scheduled to visit different inmates and deliver MP3 players to them. During the investigation narcotics were found concealed inside the MP3 players that were attempting to be delivered as well as on their person. Osceola Police Department assisted with the case.

Sept 6 – George McKee, 32, Montrose, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C felony delivery of a controlled substance, class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class A misdemeanor of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $40,000 cash only.

The charges stem from an investigation involving the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office, Osceola Police Department and members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force. During the investigation a vehicle fled with three individuals inside of it, later identified as George McKee, Shawn Callahan, and Brianna Suraud.

Shawn Callahan, 46, Shawnee, KS, was arrested on a parole violation. This is a no bond warrant. Callahan was in the vehicle that was stopped in the previous investigation.

Brianna Suraud, 26, homeless, was arrested on a Johnson County Kansas warrant on a felony possession of heroin. Suraud was the third person in the vehicle from the previously mentioned investigation.

Sept 8 – James Mygatt II, 25, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class B felony of arson first degree.

The arrest stems from an investigation on SE 801 Rd in regards to a couple trailers on fire. Statements were taken from James Mygatt Sr. and James Mygatt II. The Fire Marshall responded to conduct an investigation.

Skyla Carroll, 28, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class A misdemeanor probation violation. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

While Carroll was driving her vehicle, she pulled into someone’s driveway. The homeowner asked her to leave and Carroll refused. A St. Clair County deputy responded to the home and after running her information it was found that she had warrant for a probation/parole violation.

Jon Brady, 54, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance, class D misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and a class D misdemeanor no insurance. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a traffic violation with the Missouri Highway Patrol on July 13, 2017.

Sept 10 – Daniel Wire, 53, Osceola, was arrested on a class D felony possession of controlled substance and a class B felony delivery of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from when a St. Clair County deputy pulled Wire over on a traffic violation. After talking with Wire, he admitted to using methamphetamine recently. Wire did give the deputy consent to search his vehicle.

During the search the deputy found a small bag of a crystal like substance on Wire. Wire then admitted to more being in the vehicle.

Sept 11 – Christian Reynolds, 22, Platte City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with an unclassified misdemeanor driving while revoked/suspended, a class B misdemeanor for failing to register vehicle, a class B misdemeanor for exceeding posted speed limit by 26 miles per hour or more. Bond is set at $825 cash only.

The charges stem from a Missouri Highway Patrol traffic stop on Sept. 4, 2016.

Sept 11  – Anthony Huffman, 25, Wellington, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Ray County warrant charging him with two counts of class D felonious assault and a class E felony of involuntary manslaughter-second degree. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The charges stem from a Missouri Highway Patrol investigation on February 10, 2017.

Sept 12 – Philon Howard, 24, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class E felony of resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

The charges stem from an Osceola Police Department investigation on Feb 6, 2017.

Sept  13 – Darrell Link, 32, Nevada, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class A misdemeanor for non-support. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.

Property Damage in Lowry City

Sept. 9, a St. Clair County deputy responded to NE Hwy C in regards to property damage.

Kathleen Bonner stated she had someone cutting trees down and using a bobcat and thought he was on her land but wasn’t sure. Bonner spoke with Steven who was cutting down trees. She stated they had an agreement to get the land surveyed before anymore was done. Bonner stated Steven started cutting down before the survey was started.

Bonner stated she called the Sheriff’s office and spoke with a deputy. The deputy advised her he couldn’t stop Steven from clearing the brush, but could advise him he could be sued. Bonner stated Steven continued to remove brush.

Bonner stated a survey was conducted and the surveyor advised her Steven was clearing brush and trees on her land. She also stated the surveyor gave her a copy of the survey.

  Burglary in Appleton City

Sept 12 – St. Clair County deputy responded to N Hickory Street in Appleton City, to speak with Rodney Nitchals in reference to a burglary.

Nitchals stated he left for work that morning after locking his house. He stated he returned home later the same day and noticed his television missing from his residence. Evidence was collected at the scene. Nitchals stated the value of the television was approximately $400.

                                                   Stealing in Lowry City

  Sept 12 – St. Clair County deputy was notified to respond to Dollar General in Lowry City about stolen merchandise.

The deputy arrived on scene and spoke with a Dollar General employee. The employee showed him the video of a male subject wearing a white button up shirt and tie with dark colored pants enter the store at approximately 8:40 p.m. The deputy was advised by the employee the male subject had a couple tear drop tattoos on his face and a neck tattoo.

In the video you could see the male grab a basket from the front of the store and began placing items into the basket. At approximately 8:50 p.m., the male subject walked out of the front door with a box under his arm and a basket full of items.

From the outside video, the male subject was seen getting into the passenger side of a black, single cab pickup truck with a diamond plate tool box in the bed.

A request for prosecution was signed and evidence was collected from the scene.
