The complete St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office  news release Sept. 11-18, 2017

Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made nine warrant arrests, took two reports of stealing and a burglary report during the week of Sept. 11-18, 2017.

Warrant Arrests

Sept. 11, Anthony Huffman, 25, Wellington, was arrested in St. Clair County on a Ray County warrant charging him with two counts of class D felonious assault and a class E felony of involuntary manslaughter-second degree. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The charges stem from a Missouri Highway Patrol investigation on Feb. 10, 2017.

Sept. 11 – Christian Reynolds, 22, Platte City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with an unclassified misdemeanor driving while revoked/suspended, a class B misdemeanor for failing to register vehicle, a class B misdemeanor for exceeding posted speed limit by 26 miles per hour or more. Bond is set at $825 cash only.

   The charges stem from a Missouri Highway Patrol traffic stop on Sept. 4, 2016.

Sept. 12 – Philon Howard, 24, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class E felony of resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

The charges stem from an Osceola Police Department investigation on Feb. 6, 2017.

Sept. 13, Darrell Link, 32, Nevada, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class A misdemeanor for non-support. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.

Sept. 14 – Richard Foster, 32, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failing to pay fines or costs on a class A misdemeanor of theft/stealing. Bond is set at $462.50 cash only.

Sept. 15 – Refugio Murguia, 37, Osceola, was arrested in St. Clair County on charges of a class B misdemeanor of driving while intoxicated, a class A misdemeanor of possession of marijuana, and a class D misdemeanor of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges stem from a traffic stop by a St. Clair County deputy on Sept. 15. During his investigation, the deputy found Murguia to be under the influence. A search of the vehicle and his person revealed a small amount of a green leafy substance and drug paraphernalia.

Sept. 15 – Jacob Hudgens, 40, Wheatland, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants. The first warrant charges him with a class A misdemeanor of assault in the third degree. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The second warrant charges him with failure to appear on a class D felony of possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

Sept. 17 – Tammy Davis, 37, Clinton, was arrested during a traffic stop conducted by a St. Clair County deputy on a class E felony of driving while revoked/suspended. Davis also had three warrants out of Henry County and one warrant out of Laclede County. Total bond is set at $1,325.

Sept. 18 – Remonica Taylor, 30, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class C felony of forgery. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

  The charges stem from Dec. 24, 2011, when Taylor tried to pass a fraudulent check at Shelby’s Truck Stop in Lowry City.

Burglary in Appleton City

Sept. 12 – St. Clair County deputy responded to N Hickory Street in Appleton City to speak with Rodney Nitchals in reference to a burglary.

Nitchals stated he left for work that morning after locking his house. He stated he returned home later the same day and noticed his television missing from his residence. Evidence was collected at the scene. Nitchals stated the value of the television was approximately $400.

Stealing in Lowry City

Sept. 12 – St. Clair County deputy was notified to respond to Dollar General in Lowry City about stolen merchandise.

The deputy arrived on scene and spoke with a Dollar General employee. The employee showed him the video of a male subject wearing a white button up shirt and tie with dark colored pants enter the store at approximately 8:40 p.m. The deputy was advised by the employee the male subject had a couple tear drop tattoos on his face and a neck tattoo.

  In the video you could see the male grab a basket from the front of the store and began placing items into the basket. At approximately 8:50 p.m., the male subject walked out of the front door with a box under his arm and a basket full of items.

  From the outside video, the male subject was seen getting into the passenger side of a black, single cab pickup truck with a diamond plate tool box in the bed.

  A request for prosecution was signed and evidence was collected from the scene.

Stealing in El Dorado Springs

Sept. 16 – St. Clair County deputy was advised to contact Aaron Roberts in reference to items stolen from his home.

Roberts stated that he had a friend, Kristena Bailey, staying at his house from Sept. 14 until Sept. 16. He stated when he arrived home from work on Sept. 16, he noticed Bailey was gone along with some of his belongings. Roberts claims a Fluke True RMS Multi-meter, Fluke Clamp-meter, binoculars and a black belt were missing from his residence. Total value of the items is $765.

Sept. 20 – Dennis Woody Jr, 37, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an original class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The charge stems from an incident on April 4, 2015, when St. Clair County deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle Woody was driving. During the investigation a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine was located in Woody’s possession. Woody was issued summons for driving while suspended and no proof of insurance. The Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation.

Sept 20 – Alexandria Moore, 24, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on an Osceola Police Department warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on an original ordinance charge of stealing. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.
