The complete St. Clair County Sheriff’s office  News Release March 19-26, 2018

     Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made 11 arrests, took a stealing report, and           recovered a body from the river during the week of March 19-26, 2018.

Warrant Arrests

   March 25,- Sandra Marconi, 47, Collins was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class E felony of driving while revoked or suspended and a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Marconi was booked and released pending formal charges.

     The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy stopped a vehicle Marconi was driving for a traffic violation. After making contact with Marconi, she admitted to the deputy that she had a revoked license. The deputy asked for consent to search the vehicle. Marconi agreed. During the search a case containing a glass pipe was found. The pipe field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamines.

Vernon Wait, 57, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class B felony delivery or possession of weapon at a county/private jail or correctional center, a class D felony burglary in the second degree, a class D felony unlawful possession of a firearm, a class E felony possession of burglary tools, misdemeanor A stealing, misdemeanor B property damage in the second degree, misdemeanor D driving while revoked/suspended. Total bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

The arrest comes after Wait walked to a residence and started to beat on the door and then refused to leave after being told to do so by the homeowner. The homeowner called the disturbance into the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office. A deputy arrived on scene and made contact with Wait. Wait stumbled off the porch towards the deputy and stated that he was in a wreck and wanted to call for a ride. The deputy explained to Wait that he could give him a ride back to the accident scene to investigate, but would have to search him for weapons before he could get into the patrol vehicle. Wait agreed. During the search of his person, a loaded pistol was found in the pocket of his jacket. A record check revealed that Wait was disqualified from owing or possessing a firearm from a previous felony conviction.

     After further investigation, Wait admitted to burglarizing a residence on NE U Hwy.

     

March 24, Antonio Dossett, 58, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class E felony of driving while revoked/suspended- second or subsequent offense. Bond is set at $4,000 cash or surety.

The charge stems from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Nov. 30, 2017.

     

March 23, John Wood, 48, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with an infraction of trespassing in the second degree. Bond is set at $250 cash or surety.

The charge stems from an incident that occurred on Jan. 13, 2017, when Wood’s girlfriend at the time, wanted to press charges on him for coming onto her property and taking her car without her permission.

     

March 22 – Kelly Fetters, 52, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County stopped a vehicle that Fetters was driving for a traffic violation. During a consensual search of the vehicle, a baggie of a crystal like substance was found in Fetters wallet. The crystal like substance field tested positive for methamphetamines.

     

March 22, Katherine Fetters, 54, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

  The arrest comes after the vehicle Fetters was a passenger in was stopped for a traffic violation by a St. Clair County deputy. During a consensual search of the vehicle an eyeglass case was found that had three syringes in it along with a baggie of crystal like substance. The crystal like substance field tested positive for methamphetamines.

March 21 – Daniel Thomas, 28, Osceola, was arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging him with failure to appear in court on a class D felony unlawful possession of a firearm, class E felony unlawful use of a weapon, an unclassified felony armed criminal action, and two counts of class A misdemeanor domestic assault. The other warrant is for failure to appear in court on an unclassified misdemeanor of driving while revoked/suspended. Total bond is set at $20,000 cash only.

     

March 20 – Travis Butler, 27, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Greene County warrant charging him failure to appear in court on a class C felony burglary in the second degree. This is a no bond warrant.

     

March 19 – Michael Casteel, 54, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class E felony domestic assault in the third degree. This is a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

     

March 19 – Brandy Grisham, 18, Morrisville, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on Polk County warrants for a class C felony receiving stolen property and a class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $22,500 cash or surety.

     

March 19, Micky Kottwitz, 43, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him an unclassified felony for a probation violation on a class C felony for possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $15,000 cash only.

The charge comes from an investigation by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office and the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force. Deputies and detectives went to the residence of Kottwitz. During the conversation with Kottwitz, he stated there was an empty can in the bathroom that had white residue on the bottom of it. The can field tested positive for methamphetamines.

March 19, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to SW 430 Road in reference to a stolen trailer.

Upon arrival, the deputy met with Connie Davis. She stated her 1988 homemade trailer was stolen sometime between 6:00 p.m. on March 18 and 10:00 a.m. on March 19. Davis stated she had seen the trailer on her property on the 18th. When she went to check her cattle the next day, the trailer was no longer there.

     Davis described the trailer as being a homemade, black in color with rust, bumper hitch, twin axle, with a two inch ball receiver. The trailer sides are about 12 inches high made out of angle iron.
