The complete St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office  News Release March 26-April 8, 2018

Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made 16 arrests and took a burglary report during the week of March 26-April 8, 2018.

Warrant Arrests

Timothy Bottorff- On April 8, Timothy Bottorff, 41, Kailua Kona, HI, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Total bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

     The charges come after a St. Clair County deputy was checking the well being of person sitting in a car. Upon contact, Bottorff started making quick movements inside the car. The deputy had him step out of the vehicle. Bottorff was placed in handcuffs. Before being placed inside the patrol car, he was patted down. Inside his wallet was a small baggie of a crystal like substance. During the search of the vehicle another baggie with a crystal like substance was found. Both baggies field tested positive for methamphetamines.

Jason Groves- On April 8, Jason Groves, 27, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on an infraction of speeding. Bond is set at $181 cash only.

The charge comes from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Sept. 11, 2017.

Katherine Mitchell- On April 6, Katherine Mitchell, 51, Garden City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with a probation violation on a class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The charge stems from an investigation from the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force on March 21, 2016.

John Hoyt- On April 3, John Hoyt, 48 Clinton, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony of non support-total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

Andre Hubert- On April 3, Andre Hubert, 23, Humansville, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. This is a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The charge comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to check on a male subject that was stuck in a ditch. While making contact with Hubert, the deputy could smell a strong odor of alcohol. The deputy performed a sobriety test, which Hubert failed. Hubert consented to a breath test and blew a .257, which is more than three times the legal limit.

Alexander Willis- On April 3, Alexander Willis, 23, unknown, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class D misdemeanor for operating a vehicle without insurance and a class B misdemeanor exceeding posted speed limit by 20-25 mph over. Total bond is set at $561.50 cash only.

The charges come from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Dec. 11, 2017.

Randy Craig- On April 2, Randy Craig, 29, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class B felony stealing livestock-value more than $10,000. This is a no bond warrant.

The charge comes after Craig bought 22 head of cattle at auction using a bad check. Total value of the cattle was $20,930.70.

Michelle Martin- On April 2, Michelle Martin, 29, Haysville, KS, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on a class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The charges stem from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on May 19, 2014.

Travis Matzke- On April 2, Travis Matzke, 35, El Dorado Springs, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Matzke was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy pulled over a vehicle that Matzke was driving for a traffic violation. During questioning, the passenger of the vehicle willing opened a box to show the deputy. Inside the box were prescription pills in a plastic baggie.

Crystal Beckmon- On April 2, Crystal Beckmon, 36, Fair Play, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Beckmon was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a vehicle that Beckmon was a passenger in, was pulled over for a traffic violation. During the conversation with a deputy, Beckmon removed a zip lock bag from her person and handed it to the deputy. The baggie contained marijuana residue and prescription pills.

Terry Sieleman- On April 2, Terry Sieleman, 39, Appleton City, was arrested on St. Clair County warrants charging him two probation violations. Total bond is set at $10,000 cash only.

William Grant- On April 1, William Grant, 34, Cassville, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Barry County warrant charging him with a class C felony robbery in the second degree. This is a no bond warrant.

Isaiah Folkert- On March 31, Isaiah Folkert, 21, Harrisonville, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a warrant from the Lee’s Summit Police Department for failure to appear in court on an infraction/municipal ordinance. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.

Michael Noble- On March 30, Michael Noble, 34, Sedalia, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance, a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and a class E felony unlawful use of a weapon-possess weapon and a felony controlled substance. Noble was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy stopped a vehicle that Noble was driving, for a traffic violation. After speaking with Noble and the passenger, Noble gave consent to search the vehicle. During the search of the vehicle a rifle along with a pipe used to smoke methamphetamines with were found. Noble admitted that the pipe was his.

Ronald Park- On March 27, Ronald Park, 60, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

The charge comes from the Osceola Police Department for an incident on Nov. 11, 2017.

Ronald Campbell- On March 26, Ronald Campbell, 32, Rich Hill, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failure to pay fines on a class D misdemeanor of no insurance and an unclassified misdemeanor failure to yield to vehicle/pedestrian lawfully in controlled of intersection/crosswalk. Total bond is set at $305 cash only.

     The charges stem from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Feb. 23, 2017.

Burglary in Osceola

On March 29, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to NE 276 Road in reference to a burglary.

Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Thomas Chambers. Chambers stated when he left his property, he had locked all doors, turned out all the lights, and turned off the water to the house. On March 27, Chambers received a phone call from a neighbor, informing him that someone had been in the residence and the lights were on.

Deputies arrived on scene and cleared the residence, looking for any persons. The main entry door window was broken out. Chambers entered the house and stated that it had been completely ransacked. Chambers stated that whoever had been in the residence had gone through everything.

Evidence and photographs were collected from the scene. A request for prosecution was filled out.
