May 30 – Jay Buck, 39, Kansas City, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants. Buck is charged with probation violation on an original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. The warrant was issued on Feb. 17 and bond is set at $5,000 cash only. The original charge stems from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation on Jan. 27, 2016, when a St. Clair County deputy conducted a traffic stop for speeding on Hwy 13 near Collins. During the investigation a glass pipe and digital scales were found in Buck’s vehicle. The items field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Buck was also arrested on a warrant for failing to pay fines on an original class B misdemeanor charge of exceeding the posted speed limit by 20-25 miles-per-hour. The warrant was issued on Dec. 16, 2016. Bond is set at $245 cash only. The original charge stems from the same investigation on Jan. 27, 2016.

June 1 – St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on Fourth Street, Appleton City. Richard Souders reported his red Troy Bilt lawnmower was stolen off his property in Appleton City. The value of the mower was estimated at $1,800. Suspects were named.

St. Clair County deputies took a property damage report in Lowry City. Stephanie Roberts reported someone etched letters into the hood of her 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. A suspect was named.

June 2 – Vicky Rounds, 57, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class D felony possession of a controlled substance, class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana and class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.  The warrant was issued on May 31 and bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation on May 1 when a deputy was contacted by an off-duty Missouri Department of Conservation Agent in reference to a possibly intoxicated female subject who had drove her vehicle off the roadway on C Hwy near the ZZ Hwy intersection.

The deputy arrived on scene and made contact with Rounds who appeared to be intoxicated and admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving her boyfriend’s Chrysler minivan to the location. Rounds was taken into custody and transported to the St. Clair County Jail.       

While being booked in, jail staff located a pill bottle in her purse containing a green leafy substance with a smell and appearance consistent with marijuana. Also in this pill bottle were 49 pills. The pills were identified as six different types including Diazepam, Hydrocodone, Soma and three other types of Alprazolam pills.

Annette Smith, 40, Fort Scott, KS, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for probation violation on an original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. The warrant was issued on March 30 and bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The original charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation on Oct. 4, 2016, when deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 82, west of Osceola on Missouri Department of Conservation land. During the investigation a pipe with residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine and several other items of drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.

Karyn Walter, 47, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging her with class D felony possession of a controlled substance and class D misdemeanor driving while revoked. Bond is set at $7,500 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation the previous day when a deputy was dispatched to a careless driver traveling on Hwy 13.  Information was learned the truck was at Shelby’s, Lowry City, with the female driver sitting in the driver’s seat.        

Once on scene the deputy noticed the vehicle running and Walter talking on the phone. During the investigation it was determined Walter’s speech was slurred.  She admitted to taking a Hydrocodone about 45 minutes prior to the contact with the deputy.

A pill bottle with most of the label removed and no name on it was located with four and a half pills inside. The pills were identified as Hydrocodone. Another pill bottle with no label was found. Inside the bottle were eight pills identified as Oxycodone. Neither pill bottle had a name nor any information about what should be inside the pill bottle.  A check revealed Walters’ driver’s license is also suspended. She was taken into custody and transported to the St. Clair County Jail.

St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on NE 301 Rd, Deepwater. Jerome Ammann reported his black and silver 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL Custom 1200  was stolen from a shed on his property. The value of the bike was estimated at $4,000 and noted the motor was bad.

June 4 – Ammann reported someone cut a padlock off a chain that was across his driveway and a red MDT tine tiller is missing from a shed. The value of the tiller was estimated at $200.

June 5 – St. Clair County deputy arrested Tommy Graham, 54, Osceola, on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance. The warrant was issued the same day and stems from an Osceola Police Department investigation on April 26. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
