Something Kimball did not consider when she picked our wedding day – Halloween 1975 – how hard it would be to find an anniversary card.

I mentioned that to Debbie Floyd who was just shopping for Halloween cards. She agreed.

Then I found it: two ghoulish looking characters, a heart between them and the words: I’m so glad we wound up together. In 41 anniversaries, that it the best card I have found. We still have a date night planned.

– I once saw a T-Shirt which proclaimed: I survived tularemia, I think. I may get one for blood poisoning.

– Adrian and Cain had a traumatic event with their pup, Merle. They had visited and Merle and the couple’s German Shepherd rescue had a good time playing. They went back Monday night for dinner and a playdate. They don’t know who whispered to the German Shepherd that it was fight night. The owner almost got bit trying to save Merle, a devout coward Aussie/Doodle.

-Wanda sent us an anniversary cake. Surprise – it had tons of delicious purple frosting. She says we are still her favorite ex-bosses.

– Congratulate the R-II administration for getting the school back into a conference after 25 years. When you do that, explain to Mark you are not talking about his new granddaughter… unless you are. KL
