Students audition for MS Honor Band

Last Friday, January 11, some of the Middle School Band members traveled to Joplin HS to Audition for the SWMMEA Junior High District Band.  There are two bands available for the students to audition for according to their Grade Level.

This year we took 12 students to the auditions, which is waaaay up from previous years, and we had 4 students who earned chairs in the band.

7th Grade

Grace Kinnett – 17th Chair Clarinet

Jay Stoll – 3rd Chair Baritone

8th Grade

Connor Goatley – 20th Chair Clarinet

Ryan Griffin – 3rd Chair Trumpet

We are very proud of these kids and their ability to represent our school!  We will travel to Webb City High School this coming Saturday, Jan. 19, for their all day rehearsal and performance!  It is sure to be a great time!  If you see this wonderful kids in the hall, don’t be afraid to give them a high-five.
