BRYSON LIGHTS UP BRANSON – Olivia Bryson, an eighth grader at El Dorado Christian School, is something to watch.  Her love of running showed as her pace remained steady throughout her latest 5K run competition against 551 women at the 2018 Run to the Lights 5K held at Silver Dollar City in Branson. The weather that Friday night, Nov. 9, was a very cold 17 degrees).Sshe is holding another medal.  This award is actually twofold.  Olivia placed second in her age group of 12-14 year old girls, and wait, it gets better; the bonus part of this medal; she placed 9th overall…that is out of 551 women. Her parents, Travis and Kelly Bryson. said, “We are so proud of Livie!  The hills in the Ozarks are harsh, but she kept going.” The cold was bitter when the race started around 10 p.m., but Olivia’s time was sweet, 22:52.  You wouldn’t know, just talking to Livie that she has over fifty 5K medals. She never boasts or brags. She always smiles and talks about cross-country, school or maybe basketball.   In addition to shooting hoops on game night, Olivia continues to train and is looking forward to her upcoming track season. It should be something to watch.
