The El Dorado Springs Boys Basketball season started last week at the Warsaw Tournament.

The Bulldogs first round matchup was against the Skyline Tigers. Both teams got off to a slow start, with the Bulldogs holding a 6-4 lead after the first quarter. The scoring picked up in the second quarter and Skyline held a 23-13 lead at the half. El Dorado could not close the gap in the second half and lost 64-44.

Derek Hayes and Brayden Housh led the Bulldogs with 13 points each and Shelby McKinney added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The loss put the Bulldogs in the consolation side of the bracket to play Cole Camp. The Bulldogs shot the ball well early and had a 32-27 lead at halftime. El Dorado held onto the lead until late in the game when Cole Camp made a late charge and held on to win 63-62.

Brayden Housh led the Bulldogs with 18 points, Shelby McKinney added 13, and Orlando Guerrero and Preston Robison both had 11.

El Dorado has three home games this week. Monday they host Buffalo, Tuesday – Adrian, and Sherwood on Friday.
