Bulldog softball young but improving

Our season record is 0-8.

Our team is very young – 11 of our 17 girls are freshman and sophomores. However, our junior and senior classes have done a great job at showing leadership in helping our younger girls learn the game.

As a team we have gotten better each and every game, and that is all our coaching staff can ask for.

Jace Cundiff has been our backbone behind the plate. She has helped our defensive efforts tremendously with her leadership and hard work.

Against Hermitage on Aug. 31 at home, Jace Cundiff had 1 hit on 2 RBI’s against Hermitage which scored 2 of our 4 runs that game.

Payton Babcock has led the team both offensively and defensively. Babcock has been a great leader for our young team. Babcock had 3 hits with 2 RBI’s against Hermitage and 2 hits with 1 RBI against Buffalo. Babcock leads the team in RBI’s.

Paige Esry had a great game against Buffalo on Aug. 24. She led the team in hits and runs scored. Esry had 3 hits with 3 RBI’s.
