On Tuesday the Bulldogs wrestled at Adrian and competed against Summit Christian Academy and Adrian. The Bulldogs went 2-0 defeating both teams in the duals.

The night started against Summit Christian Academy where they got key pins from freshman Taylor Wingert at 132 pounds, Hunter Boyles at 145 pounds and Sophomore Duane Perkins at 160 pounds.

In the final dual of the night, El Dorado Springs faced Adrian in a close dual. El Dorado got five pins in the first four match ups by Dakota Long (152 pounds), Bryson Rader (182 pounds), Keilan Jaques (195 pounds) and Dylan Gallette (220 pounds).

The Bulldogs were sitting on a 30-6 lead in the team score going into the strength of Adrian’s lineup. Adrian took three wins in a row to bring the team score to 36-33 with El Dorado Springs in the lead.

In the last match of the night sophomore Austin Reagan had to win to seal the victory for ElDo. In the first round Austin scored a take down and then a quick pin to take the win for ElDo 42-33.

The Bulldogs then traveled to Warsaw to on Saturday to compete in one of the toughest tournaments of the year. ElDo wrestlers got fifth place in 3 classes including 138 pounds Austin Reagan, 160 pounds Blake Holder and 220 pounds Dylan Gallette. Keilan Jaques wrestled his way to third place at 195 pounds.

The Bulldog wrestlers are scheduled to wrestle at home on Feb. 1. That will also be Senior Night for the wrestlers and boys basketball.
