ECHS COMPETES – The 2017 Cross Country Team traveled to Bolivar on Saturday, Sept. 2, to compete in the Richard Clark Invitational sponsored by Southwest Baptist University. The athletes were excited and almost overwhelmed at the number of participants who competed; there were over 1,000. Emcee,  Cross Country Coach Ron Bandy, introduced the top 15 per class. Medals were presented by Corey McElhaney, Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach at SBU. Two ECHS athletes placed in the top 15 – Olivia Bryson, 10th place overall in Junior High, 1.5 mile Class 1A through 5A Division and Drew Steuck, placed 15th in the 5K Varsity Boys Class 1A Division. The Buffalos had a great first meet. New personal records were set and medals carried home. Coaches, Kelly Bryson  and Travis Bryson were very proud of their team.
