Six seniors were honored Monday night for their efforts on the El Dorado Springs High School girls basketball team. Those players were Payton Babcock, Paige Esry, Amy Ford, Kelsey Thomas, Alexis Tough and Keili Tough.

That night, the Lady Bulldogs played host to the Osceola Lady Indians. The senior Lady Bulldogs started off well as they took an early 14-2 lead in the first quarter. In the second quarter the Lady Bulldogs struggled defensively, but shot well enough to keep their lead.

In the third quarter the Lady Bulldogs were able to build upon that lead and carry a 24 point lead in the 4th. In the fourth, some costly turnovers late in the game allowed Osceola to cut into the lead, but the Lady Bulldogs were able to hold on winning 56-39.

Scoring for the Lady Bulldogs were Paige Esry 28, Amy Ford 8, Taylor Robison 6, Kelsey Thomas 5, Brittany Stevens 3, Kraysen Leonard 2, Keili and Alexis Tough 2.

Thursday, Feb. 1, the Lady Bulldogs were on the road again, traveling to Warsaw to play against the Lady Wildcats. The game was very close with the Lady Bulldogs taking an early lead, but never really pushing the lead out to a comfortable margin. They went into the locker room at half with a 23-17 lead.

The second half was a mirror image of the first with the Lady Bulldogs making runs to get a double digit lead, only to see the Wildcats fight back with a run of their own. In the end the Lady Bulldogs made the final run finishing with a 48-39 victory.
