Keilan Jaques finish 4th in the Class one District 2 tournament which qualified him for the state competition.

Keilan wrestled to a 31-10 record this year. His record put him into the district tournament as a 4 seed. He won his first two matches leading him into the semi-final round. Keilan lost to the eventual district champion in the semi final round.

In his next match, a win would qualify him for state and a loss would end his season. Keilan pinned his opponent 18 seconds into the third round.

Kelian is only the third wrestler from El Dorado Springs to qualify for the state tournament. He is the only El Dorado Springs wrestler to qualify before his senior year.

The State Tournament starts Thursday, Feb. 15, and runs through championship rounds on Saturday, Feb. 17.
