JV boys have good week

JV Coach Jeremy Barger as happy with the effort from all of his team Monday night at home against Climax Springs as they squeaked out a win in the two quarters game.

He said,  “They got off to a slow start but finished the half strong. I was happy with the effort from all of the boys.”

“In the ElDo JV tournament (last week) we went 2-1. We lost the first game to a very good Nevada team 30-45, which put us on the consolation side of the bracket. We then went on to beat Butler 51-14 and beat Clinton 40-37 in the consolation game taking 5th place. I was proud of the boys and how hard they played all the way around. We didn’t play our best basketball but we were able to come away with two wins in the tournament which is a positive.”

“We play Buffalo, Warsaw and Frontenac, KS, this week.”
