Lady Bulldog Basketball Report

On Monday, Dec. 17, the Lady Bulldogs hosted the Lady Eagles of Fair Grove.

In the first quarter the Lady Bulldogs were outscored by the Lady Eagles 15-7. In the second quarter the Lady Bulldogs were able to stay even with Fair Grove as both teams scored 15 points allowing the Lady Eagles to take a 30-21 lead into the half time break. In the third quarter the Lady Bulldogs were able to cut into the lead outscoring the Lady Eagles 17-15. In the fourth, the Lady Bulldogs closed the gap to 3, multiple times, but couldn’t get any closer. Fair Grove made free throws down the stretch, which gave them the Lady Eagles the win 62-53.

Scoring for the Lady Bulldogs was: Reese Schaaf and Tevi Gurley 15, Brittany Stevens 12, Taylor Robison 6 and Dani Ogle 5.

Tuesday night, the Lady Bulldogs were home again, hosting the Lady Whirlwinds of Archie. The game was close early, but the Lady Bulldogs were able to grab a lead with some good defense and transition offense taking a first half lead 38-20. In the third quarter, the Lady Bulldogs continued to outscore the Lady Whirlwinds 12-6 to take increase their lead 50-26. In the fourth quarter, the Lady Bulldogs struggled with turnovers and fouls and allowed the whirlwinds to cut into lead, but it was too late, as the Lady Bulldogs took the victory 59-43.
