NICE HARDWARE – Students from Van Dyk’s Karate competed in the Midwest Open Karate Tournament on Feb. 4 in Neosho. These competitors did very well and brought home some very nice hardware. Taylin Oberly competed in the 10-11 Youth Intermediate Division and placed 2nd in Open Hand Forms, 3rd in Traditional Weapons Forms and 2nd in Point Sparring. Jordan Runkle competed in the 6-7 Youth Intermediate Division and placed 2nd in Traditional Weapons Forms, 2nd in Open Hand Forms and 2nd in Point Sparring. Mason Gardner competed in the 10 – 11 Youth Intermediate Division and placed 1st in Open Hand Forms, 1st in Traditional Weapons Forms and 1st in Point Sparring.
