WHEAT STATE CLASSIC COMPETITOR – The weekend of Sept. 1, Jacey Swopes,  a member of El Dorado Springs Karate Club, traveled the Wichita, KS, to compete in the Wheat State Classic, a big and popular regional event. Competitors from seven states were present and competing among some of the Midwest’s best martial artists. Jacey competed in the 9-10 Intermediate Youth Division. She placed 1st in Traditional Weapons, 2nd in Open Hand Forms and was 1st Runner-Up in the 17 & Under Youth Intermediate Grand-Champion Contest. She is pictured  with her instructor Riaan Van Dyk.
