Adult-Youth golf tournament 3 cc

On Saturday, July 30th, SOS Golf at Gene Pray Memorial golf course hosted our annual adult-youth tournament. This is our favorite outing of the year and we had a record number of teams this year with 18 teams entered. The tournament is a 9 hole event with each young player playing with an adult in a scramble format. The team must use at least one shot of the kids on each hole. There were some outstanding scores posted and a great day for all entered. The ages of our young golfers ranged from 2 years to 15. I wish all of  you could see the faces of these young players as they are presented with their trophies. All competitors receive a trophy.

In the 2-7 year old bracket, Paxton and Dale Heitz and Colt and Davis Rogers both posted scores of 50. Paxton was our youngest player at 2 years old. You are never too young to start playing. Parker Norman and Paul Sanderson shot a 44, Gunnar and Tyson Basore took second with a 42, and Kannon and Kevin Hill won first with an outstanding 39.

In the 8-10 year old bracket Avery Floyd and Sally Heisten shot 50, Kolton Norman and Jim Simrell shot 48, Treavyn King and Charlie Boultinghouse shot 47, Makena Robison and Randy Bobbett shot 46, Parker and Cliff Heitz shot 44, Lily Taylor and Chuck Walter shot 43, Noah and Nick Bland shot 42. Owen and Travis Basore took second with 40, and Skylyn Gibbs and Chace Burrus won first with 39.

In the 11-15 bracket Tatumn and Bryce Payne shot a 45, Wriley Taylor and Dick Gardner shot 43, and we had a tie for first between Lane and Trent Donnohue and Devun and Drex Salazar with 37.

Thanks to the parents, grand parents, uncles, and friends who made this day special. Great memories for the kids and adults.
