According to the Cedar County Prosecutor, on April 8, 2019, Garry Floyd plead guilty to two counts of statutory sodomy 2nd degree. The Defendant received a sentence of 14 years and was sentenced to the Missouri Sexual Offender Assessment Unit (SOAU).

According to the Ceddar County Prosecutor. on March 20, Robert Moore plead guilty by Alford plea to two counts of child molestation 1st degree. Sentencing hearing is set for June 10, 2019, at 1 p.m.

Missouri University of Science and Technology announces the names of students who made the honor list for the Fall 2018 semester. Dennis Floyd II, senior, El Dorado Springs; electrical engineering. To be included on the honor list, students must have carried a minimum of 12 hours and had grade point averages of 3.2 or above
