MISS MERRY CHRISTMAS AND FRIENDS – Kraysen Leonard was crowned the 2020 Miss Merry Christmas at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov 21 along with Little Mr. Santa Nolan McCormick and Little Miss Santa Addison Hamm. The trio were originally scheduled to ride in the hastily scuttled Christmas Parade later in the day. Maybe next year.

Mauricio Gonzalez 43, El Dorado Springs, has been charged in Cedar County Circuit Court with child molestation. If convicted, he could be sentenced to five to 13 years in prison. He is scheduled to appear before Judge Tom Pyle on Dec. 2. He is being held on $50,000 bond.
