The Chamber of Commerce and City of El Dorado Springs present the annual Holiday Home Christmas Decorating Contest.  Prizes include utility credits of $150 grand prize, $75 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place for a total of $300 in credits for contest winners. The Cedar County Library’s annual Food for Fines food drive will be Nov. 20 through Dec. 22. Each item of non-perishable food or paper products will erase $1 off the fines. Please no opened or expired food. The food collected will be used in our communities.

This past January, Missourians were reminded of the hazards that can come with a Show-Me State winter and the importance of being prepared and monitoring the weather forecast.
