Fire report for week of May 3

On Monday, May 4, the Fire Department was dispatched to two separate weather spotting calls. One to south Cedar County and the other in Vernon and St. Clair counties. A total of three trucks and 17 firefighters were involved.

On Thursday, May 7, at 6:46 p.m. the Fire Department was dispatched to a medical lift assist in Vernon County. Ten firefighters responded.

On Friday, May 8, at 1:04 p.m. the Fire Department was dispatched to a medical lift assist in Vernon County. Ten firefighters responded.

On Saturday, May 9, the Fire Chief responded to a reported gas leak at a residence on S. Main. After an investigation, no leak was discovered.
