The MFA Oil Foundation has awarded a $2,000 grant to the Northeast Vernon County (NEVC) R-1 School District to assist in the purchase of a ballfield fence topper and new door locks for the school. On hand for the presentation were Mike Moreland, a third-generation farmer and member of MFA’s board of directors and Kirk Poyner, manager of Nevada MFA. Holcomb noted the building they were standing in was erected in 1929, the same year MFA Oil was founded.
The MFA Oil Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations that are working to improve communities where MFA Oil has a significant concentration of members and employees. Since it was established in 1998, the MFA Oil Foundation has awarded more than three million dollars in grants.
