SINCERE THANK YOU TO MRS. JAN BLAND AS SHE RETIRES AFTER 20 YEARS OF TEACHING

When you think of Mrs. Jan Bland, words like admire, smart, kind and loving seem to come to mind. She is absolutely, without a doubt all of these and more. Tuesday evening, April 19, ECS Faculty and Board members celebrated Mrs. Bland’s retirement dinner at the Church of God Holiness Life Center. ECS Principal, Mrs. Kelly Bryson, shared sincere words of thankfulness and praise for Jan…”she is an incredible teacher, a lady who is definitely going to be missed…” El Dorado Christian School Board Chairman, Mr. Randy Bland had a few additional thoughts to share about this amazing woman, “She is a wonderful teacher, mother and grandmother, a great nurse, and a fantastic wife of more than 45 years…” He continued “…she is a strong pillar in our family…” Yes! Mrs. Bland is a pillar; also in her church, her community and her ECS family.
Mrs. Bland is known by many; to young, sweet Kindergartners’ at El Dorado Christian School, she is known as “Mrs. Bland”, or, “teacher, teacher, teacher!!”… but to the 100’s of students, many of whom are sophomores in high school or older, she is Mrs. Bland, a core memory, one that will stay with her former students as the years and chapters in their lives continue. They, like the class of 2022, will forever be able to look back; knowing that not only were they taught cursive, colors, and sounds, they were given sincere and unconditional Christian love. Our wonderful, caring, very humble Mrs. Jan Bland; May God bless and keep you as you enjoy your family, grandchildren and retirement…Thank you, Mrs. Bland, many are forever and eternally blessed by you.
